5 Things To Consider When Starting Your Hotel Blog

So you’ve decided to start a blog for your hotel, now what? Its time to start thinking about the logistics of day-to-day management.  Here are some rules to follow and tips to help you succeed:


Be Commited:

Set a schedule and stick to it. Is there anything worse than going to read a blog only to find no new content in the last year? You and your team should sit down once a month or once a quarter and determine what the blog topics will be and when they will be posted.

 We recommend an original post once a week but if that’s not possible, why not share existing or third party content? If you have a partnership with a local business share their latest blog with a link back to their site or simply share pictures and the detailription of aroom on property.


Know When To Ask For Help:

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and 1 person certainly didn’t build it and your blog is not different. If you hire someone to be the blog curator, you should be fine but if blogging duties fall on the plate of your marketing manager or front desk attendant, it’s a recipe for disaster.
