It's not so far-fetched for people to have such a close knit personal attachment to their devices. Afterall, their cell phone holds their photos, closest contacts, personal correspondence, and acts as lifeline in case of an emergency. So, keep in mind a cellphone is a highly personal device, so treat it as such.
