2024 National Training | Highlights of the National Tourism Practice Teaching Faculty Training Program - Quanzhou Session

On the morning of July 15, 2024, the National Tourism Practice Teaching Faculty Training Program was held at the Quanzhou Qianlong Hotel. This training program, organized by the China Tourism Association's Tourism Education Branch and the School of Tourism at Huaqiao University, aims to create high-quality "golden courses" in tourism practice education, cultivating innovative, pioneering, and practical teaching faculty that meet the needs of national and societal transformation.

On the morning of July 17, Ms. Huang Wanmin, Deputy General Manager and Director of Teaching Operations at Guangzhou Wintour Information Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to participate in the faculty training program. She delivered a presentation titled "Digital Operations and Education in the Hotel and Tourism Industry Under the New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Technology," focusing on topics such as "Artificial Intelligence and AIGC" and "Empowering Course Teaching with Artificial Intelligence."

Ms. Huang introduced the basic concepts, development history, and main types of AIGC technology, as well as its broad applications and potential value across various industries. She elaborated on the fundamental structures of neural networks and neurons, the differences between machine learning and deep learning, and the importance of big data in training AI models. She emphasized how artificial intelligence is gradually becoming a core force driving the development and innovation of education, playing a significant role in course construction and teaching method reform.


Ms. Huang highlighted the application of technologies such as machine learning and deep learning in text analysis and big data processing, revealing their extensive potential and future development paths in the education sector. These include intelligent teaching assistant systems and personalized learning path planning, which can improve the allocation of educational resources and enhance teaching efficiency. Through case studies, she demonstrated the enormous potential of AI in education and the challenges it faces, including the limitations of AIGC technology and data security concerns. The presentation also addressed the new roles of teachers in the age of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the need for educators to not only grasp basic AI knowledge but also pay attention to ethical issues.

 Finally, Ms. Huang shared how AIGC empowers the "Hotel Financial Management" course, enhancing students' cognitive levels, and showcased Wintour's innovative applications in intelligent teaching assistants and learning aids in tourism and hotel courses.
